Purpose
Transports children, adults and seniors with specialized transportation needs to health, educational or social services.

People served
18,409 people - from newborns to those aged 100

Programs
Specialized transportation including:

  • Wheelchair transportation
  • Door-to-door escort to medical appointments
  • Service to senior nutrition centers, day treatment programs, mental health services and adult day care
  • Service to counseling appointments or home visitations for children in foster care
  • Transportation for children attending programs at the Al Sigl Center
Brokerage Services including:
  • Arranging and administering non-emergency transportation services (including wheelchair and stretcher service) using other community transportation providers. As a broker, Medical Motor Service contracts with other transportation agencies, private health insurers and other community agencies. Medical Motor Service simplifies the billing and administration of transportation services while at the same time ensuring various transportation options and choices for our consumers.
  • Nearly 18,000 trips are brokered monthly.
Vehicle Maintenance Services:
  • Medical Motor Service provides a full vehicle maintenance service for other not for profit agencies.
  • Over 200 vehicles receive service at our conveniently located facility on Mustard street.

Locations
Medical Motor Service is headquartered at the Wilson Campus. The agency maintains a fleet of more than 125 cars, van and wheelchair-accessible minibuses to locations throughout Monroe County.
